One Busy Baseball Boy

Cooper has been a busy body this summer. With a new wake-up time of 625 I'm not sure how hes still going full blast at 830 every night? Cooper has been spending his day with Stacey Trujillo, at her out of home daycare. She has Abbie, age almost 3, Ben 9 mos, and then she watched Cooper and Cole 18 mos. With this gang Cooper is entertained! Cooper and Abbie make perfect playmates weighing in at about the same size :) Stacey has the kids doing all kinds of fun activities like colored rice, timeout bottles, and ziploc bag painting! I know there is no shortage of fun in that house!

Cooper usually gets picked up by Nana (my mom) every monday-wednesday and they have bonded over this, they sing on the car ride home and then get home and play! Cooper spends most evenings in the backyard playing in the sandbox, his kiddy pool, riding in his car, sliding or swinging or he hangs out in the front yard with all of the neighborhood kids trying to get them to play with him.

His evening routine is now perfected, after dinner we take a tubby, he plays for a little while or watches some cartoons, and around 830 its time to brush his teeth, read 3 books, pray and go Nite Nite. It has been going over smoothly.

On thursday I drop him off with the Trujillo's and Andy picks him up that evening, he keeps him overnight thursday and friday and they have a good ol boys time until Saturday evening.

In every spare moment Cooper has he would like to be batting, pitching, throwing and  "gloving" baseball! If it isnt clear I think this boy LOVES BASEBALL! I have been trying to plan a birthday party and I had all of these "themes" and then one day while we were playing baseball I thought "DUH! a baseball party!!" its his most favorite thing right now and hopefully in a year it will be his favorite so he can start playing! I'm ready and prepared to be a sports mommy! And I have a feeling Andy and Grandpa Richard would be THRILLED if Cooper played baseball! :)

This coming week for the 4th of July Cooper will be taking a trip with his daddy to St. Louis to visit the family! I know he will have an amazing time and everyone will be so thrilled that hes grown so much! Mommy will miss him oh so much! 5 days without him will be hard, thankfully my good friend Kelley will be in town and I will have plenty to keep me busy! :)

My Summertime Boy

I know a little boy who would rather be outside than inside, I know a little boy who would rather be filthy than clean, I know a little boy who loves to cool down on a hot hot day!

Lately we have had some rainy cold weather but just before it came in we had one super hot day, of course Cooper wanted to spend that day outside and knowing his rash seems to flair up in the heat I decided what better time to put out the sprinkler to stay cool! He was pretty unsure about it but the cool water kept him cool and kept his rash from flaring up! He enjoyed his day in the sun!

Avoiding the face!
Hurry run!!!

Just his backside!

In other great news, Mommy got a new job starting Monday the 21st! I will be working for Provident Construction as a Project Coordinator! I am super excited to see what this new journey brings! As for mister man, it will be an adjustment but a good one, he will be staying with good family friend Stacy who has a daughter and son and watches one other little boy so Cooper will have new buddies to hangout with! We are looking forward to what the future brings! Things are going great and we are super excited for a great summer, Nino Steven will be home, Andy and I's friend Garret will be moving out for grad school and I'm sure many fun adventures will be happening this summer!!!

A special goodbye to Uncle Brian who is leaving the Colorado mountains for Chicago soon! We will miss him dearly, (Cooper will have no one to learn bad habits from :)

A visit from Grammy!

Grammy made a special visit out to Colorado and got some quality time with Cooper! She got have him overnight on Sunday and Monday morning I went to Golden and Grammy, Cooper and I headed to the Zoo! It was a hot day and we didn't make it around the  whole zoo, but we enjoyed our day out and that evening Andy cooked my family and Grammy and the boys some dinner! The next day I had to work so Grammy watched Cooper for me! It was a short trip but Grammy got some quality time with Cooper and I think they both enjoyed their time together! :)
