Drury Graduation 2011

Cooper has his first road trip, and he was quite the superstar! He got a little fussy on the way out and had had enough of the car seat but he did really well. When we got into Springfield it was very late and Cooper wanted to play so Grandpa took him and played with him until he fell asleep. The next day we drove to Drury and met all the girls and the guys as well. Later that day there was a "meet Cooper party" at Andy's apartment and LOTS of people came to meet him, Cooper did so well and went to visit everyone!! He was quite the hit!

The next day was graduation, we ate with Andy and his family and then headed over to the new gym at Drury, it was a great ceremony and Cooper fell asleep at the very end. We took pictures and hung out and then all went out for dinner with all the friends and families. The next morning it was time to hit the road again, Cooper did really well on the way home, he slept a lot, and he played and ate. We got home and he went straight to sleep. 

A lot of people were so happy to get the chance to meet him this weekend and we were very glad to have been able to make it out there! Our next adventure is to St. Louis for Aunt Diana's wedding, we are looking forward to that a lot! We will also be joining Andy's family at Lake of the Ozarks for the week!

Cooper had a good traditional Easter, he got an easter basket with a Bunny, and some plastic easter eggs that he played with all day. We had my grandparents and my cousin  over for an early dinner with a delicious Honey Baked ham courtesy of Grammy and Grandpa Richard along with turkey, asparagus, potatoes, and fruit. Cooper tried the turkey and ham and really loved the pineapple in the fruit salad. He took a late nap after dinner and then got to Skype with Grammy, she played patty cakes with him, and read him some books! 

Up next for us is a trip to Springfield for Graduation in a couple weeks! Should be a fun, fast and exciting weekend!

This weekend Andy, Grammy, and Grandpa Richard came to visit Cooper for Andy's 23rd Birthday! They arrived late Friday night and came over Saturday morning. On Saturday we took the afternoon to get out to Golden, where Andy will be going to school next year, we walked around the campus, the town and drove around the neighborhoods. Then we drove down to Steuben's where we had a great dinner for Andy's birthday. Then we returned home where I had baked a chocolate cherry cake (Andy's...and everyone else's favorite cake!) 

Sunday morning Grandpa Richard and Grammy came over, we took an early afternoon walk and played a little at the park. When we got back it was time for Grammy and Andy to take Grandpa to the airport, he had to get back to  St. Louis for work the next day.

Monday morning we took a trip to Red Rocks, We walked to the amphitheater, climbed the stairs to the top, and checked out the museum. We then had some lunch and when we got back home it was time for Grammy and Andy to head back home. We had a great weekend with the family and are looking forward to graduation weekend in Springfield and the wedding in July in St. Louis.

Cooper and I visited the aquarium with one of my friends from high school Besty Coxhead, she had to go for a class she is taking and wanted some company so Cooper and I gladly went! We had lots of fun and saw all kinds of fun things! Cooper is so great when we go out, its something about the stroller that completely zones him out!
